Intentional Stewardship
David Eck

The Bible Speaks Clearly About Money:

Many Christians want to be faithful stewards. Yet uncertainty about investing is common. Scripture speaks clearly on money, but most believers have not learned how Biblical wisdom applies to investment decisions. As a result, faith and finance are often treated separately.

Biblically Responsible Investing rejects separation. Scripture calls us to glorify God in all things, including how we use capital. Investing is about more than performance. It requires stewardship, responsibility, and alignment.

That is why our approach relies on three disciplines: endorse, engage, and exclude. We aim to own businesses that promote human flourishing, engage companies as responsible owners when we can influence outcomes, and exclude those whose core activities conflict with Biblical ethics.

Some assume glorifying God in investing is simply financial competence. But Scripture calls us to more than outcomes. It calls us to faithfulness. The question is not just how much we earn, but how and from where those returns come.

When these principles are applied consistently, investing stops being reactive. It starts becoming intentional. It moves from a purely financial exercise to an expression of conviction.

If you want to align your investments with your faith, you do not have to do it alone.

At Oakstreet Financial, we help faith-driven Americans Invest on Purpose. We build a plan that brings confidence and peace. If you would like to explore whether this approach is right for you, we invite you to start a conversation with us.
